The Saudi government has allowed women to drive taxis
Women can apply for a “General Taxi License” at any of the 18 driving schools in the kingdom,
including Riyadh, Jeddah, Jazan, Asir, Najran, Jawf, Hail and Taif, according to the Saudi General Directorate.

The statement said that women can apply for “General Taxi License” in any of the 18 driving schools in the country including Riyadh, Jeddah, Jazan, Asir, Najran, Jawf, Hail and Taif. The cost of applying for a license is SR200 ($ 53).
“As a woman, I’ve always had a problem with this subject,” said a Saudi woman who shared her experience traveling with male drivers.
